I hope Jacqui Smith doesnt do a Thatcher and try to "out macho" the men in order to prove how worthy of the job she is. It would be genuinely refreshing to have a Home Sec who was seriously wanting to tackle things such as the overflowing prisons crisis, lack of drug treatment, etc, without pandering to the macho elements of the tabloid press.
